PURPOSE AND MISSION OF THE SCHOOL: Innovation Respecting the Traditions

Traditions

Cultural background:
Italy owns about two-thirds of the world's artistic heritage, this after two thousand years of leadership in the history and culture of modern European civilization. It's a country that boasts excellent historical and current information in the field of architectural and engineering design. The Schools of Architecture and Engineering of the Polytechnic of Milan have preserved and handed down such excellence from 1863 to the present, without interruption.

Economic background :
Milan is the capital of Lombardy , one of the most economical viable regions of Europe, we talk in recent years of "new Milan Renaissance". The last century has stabilized its economic and productive role, becoming the largest Italian financial market, as well as one of the world capitals of fashion, design and location of the next Expo 2015.

Geographical Background:
The centrality of Italy in the Mediterranean together with its elongated shape, with climatic conditions, environmental, different seismic, are challenges for engineering and architectural solutions, differentiated and innovative.

Innovation

The favorable conditions previously synthesized and the will of the leadership of the school allow the School Master F.lli Pesenti to be a training tool capable of filling the "gap" between the university and the innovation of the professions, particularly in the world of Construction and Infrastructure.

The internationalization of the profession of engineer and architect , proposes evolving challenges for the design choices , in which a work of engineering and architecture must be optimal among the different possible options , sometimes in mutual conflict.

The school, thanks to the continuous collaboration between figures from academia, producers and professionals of known reputation, allows students of the Master to address all aspects of the major Italian and international projects, from preliminary feasibility study of property investment at the construction site, touching all project phases.

The innovation that characterizes the School is offering 5 master courses, activated for the next edition 2014-2015 including the ONLINE courses. This allows the teaching tradition of the School to reach students from all over the world, allowing them to stay informed and attend a Postgraduate Professional Degree Course of Polytechnic of Milan without having to transfer and without having to interrupt their work activities.

In summary

The goal of the School Master F.lli Pesenti is to provide specialized skills and innovative Engineers and Architects, to make them active and effective players in the future leaders for the development of their countries.

This objective is also made ​​possible by the current economic-historical moment in Milan and Lombardy, not surprisingly called "New Renaissance in Milan."

The reputation and presence of the first President of the School Prof. Antonio Migliacci, and the many other contributors, in Great Works of Italian and international, are the bases of our Master, the students are placed and guided in actively projects, which are numerous. They are taught by professionals aware of the union, which is crucial for future leaders, and inseparable today, including university education and technological innovation and professional innovation.

The financial support: activation of scholarships, based on the curricula presented and facilities for the residences.

The Masters of the School are always the most established and recognized in the world outside the university. Students receive professional offers before concluding the experience of the Postgraduate Professional Degree Course. The offers of professional positions for engineers and architects in the possession of the Master's Degree is increasing every year.
